The 4 polishes included in the set are named after the show's 4 main female characters: Hannah (Hapless Hunter Green), Marnie (Prim & Proper Pink), Shoshanna (Virtuous Vivid Violet) & Jessa (Bohemian Burgundy). The descriptions in the parenthesis above are directly from Lippmann & I think they're all pretty accurate. Here are some pics (click to enlarge)!

I thought that the packaging of this set was super cute! I loved the quotes from the show on the inside left flap & the polishes were nestled safely on the right hand side, which is always appreciated. I also really enjoyed the separate Girls-related logo on the bottles in addition to the DL logo. Of the polishes themselves, I've only worn Hannah so far (on some unfortunately short nails, bah). It's a nice, dusty hunter green that was opaque in 2 easy coats. Great formula & a super flattering color.
I'm looking forward to using the rest of these colors as well so look for them to show up here in some capacity in the future. Also, if you're an HBO subscriber, tune in on Sunday nights at 9PM to catch Girls!
I'd really like to see Marnie and Shoshanna swapped. I see Shosh as the more the baby pink, and Marnie as the practical but polished periwinkle.But I like the other two for those character's personalities, and that rich green is pretty on you. And, you're right, the packaging is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I agree that Shosh & Marnie could be swapped. I was mostly excited about Hannah & Jessa's colors since I tend to go for bolder hues...but I hear that the Shoshanna purple has some interesting hidden shimmer. We shall see! <3
